Classes at City of Chandler

As part of my pro bono efforts, I love to teach about estate planning.  It gives me an opportunity to reach more people for every hour.  My favorite is teaching groups interested in the subject.  If you or your group are interested in a presentation, I would love to hear from you.

Anyhow, my wife loves to take my daughter and herself to the classes offered through the city of Chandler, Arizona.  When I got a copy of the classes, I noticed there were no classes on estate planning.  So, I contacted the city of Chandler and offered to teach a series of classes.

They accepted and my first series of classes on estate planning in Arizona will be available in October and November 2008.  Here is a link to the information on the classes (page 2 of the PDF).

You need to register for the classes with Chandler.  Here is a link to registration.  You can register by mail, in person, online, or by touch-tone phone.  You will pay a $9 fee to Chandler for each class when you register.  You will pay a $3 supply fee for the cost of materials at the time of the class for a three ring binder with valuable information.  If you come to a second class, then you can reuse the binder and pay only the first $3 fee.

The four classes are designed specifically for Arizona residents.  The are:

  • Estate Planning for Parents and Grandparents: Protect your Kids
  • Living Wills and Health Care Power of Attorney
  • Wills and Trusts: Estate Planning Basics
  • Legacy Letters: Giving Away Your Values

I hope to see you there.  Anyone can join and it is very convenient to Chandler, Sun Lakes, and Gilbert.  If you live in Mesa or Tempe and are interested in a similar seminar, you can attend the Chandler classes or you can contact me for information when I will be giving a class close to you.
